Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a seasoned Environmental Studies Business Line Leader to drive strategic growth and financial performance across national markets. You will align environmental planning, NEPA compliance and project development with growth objectives, leading major pursuits and shaping service offerings.

The role emphasizes leadership development, resource planning, and a One-Team culture to deliver complex projects with excellence and industry impact.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work collaboratively with owners, contractors, engineers, designers in cross-functional teams.
• Strong experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Monitor performance across NEPA documentation, environmental planning, siting and routing, environmental impact analysis, project development support, and environmental compliance strategy.
• Develop annual business plans and improve delivery efficiency through digital and AI-enabled workflows.
• Lead major pursuits and capture planning efforts and champion commercialization of new offerings.
• Forecast workforce demand and secure resources to achieve growth objectives.
• Balance workloads across regional offices to maximize resource effectiveness.
