Job summary

Burns & McDonnell’s Environmental Studies Business Line Lead will drive strategic growth, financial performance, and market positioning, partnering with the Technical Service Leader to align environmental planning, NEPA compliance, siting, permitting strategy, and project development with national growth goals.

Responsibilities include defining annual plans, improving delivery efficiency with digital/AI workflows, leading major pursuits, and championing innovative service offerings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering or related field with 17 years of applicable experience.
• Experience in environmental consulting, planning, permitting, or infrastructure development with proven business development and leadership.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor performance across NEPA documentation, environmental planning, siting and routing.
• Develop annual business plans and improve delivery efficiency through digital and AI-enabled workflows.
• Lead major pursuits and capture planning efforts.
• Mentor leaders and support succession planning within Environmental Studies.
