Job summary

Technology Service Corporation Defense Services in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Manufacturing Technician II to support vibration and thermal testing of hardware and electronics assemblies. You will operate specialized test equipment, follow procedures, monitor data, and ensure traceability of results.

The role requires a high school diploma with 2–4 years of technical experience, familiarity with ESD control, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. U.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus 2-4 years of relevant technical experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical systems and components.
• Understanding of torque requirements, tool usage, and calibration/verification practices.
• Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles and tools.
• U.S. Citizenship required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vibration and thermal environmental tests on hardware and electronics assemblies per program requirements and procedures.
• Handle and process electronic assemblies with established ESD controls to prevent FOD.
• Set up, operate, and maintain specialized vibration and thermal test equipment per instructions and calibration standards.
• Accurately record, monitor, and review test data and logs for traceability and compliance.
• Support production and quality assurance by ensuring testing procedures are executed correctly and results documented.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to improve processes and maintain high quality standards.
• Interpret and work from wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and engineering specifications.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly.

• Conduct vibration and thermal environmental tests on hardware and electronics assemblies in accordance with program requirements and/or written test procedures.
• Properly handle and process electronic assemblies using established ESD control practices and procedures to prevent foreign object debris/damage (FOD).
• Set up, operate, and maintain specialized vibration and thermal test equipment, following detailed work instructions and calibration standards.
• Accurately record, monitor, and review test data and logs to ensure traceability and compliance.
• Support production and quality assurance processes by ensuring all testing procedures are executed correctly and results are thoroughly documented.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to improve processes, resolve issues, and maintain high quality standards.
• Interpret and work from complex wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications, and process documentation.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
