Job summary

Technology Service Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Technician II in Huntsville, AL to perform vibration and thermal testing on hardware and electronics while adhering to ESD controls and DoD requirements. You will operate specialized test equipment and document test data for traceability and compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 2–4 years of relevant technical experience, plus knowledge of torque, calibration, and design-for-manufacturability principles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of electrical systems are essential.
• Understanding of torque requirements, tool usage, and calibration/verification practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vibration and thermal environmental tests on hardware and electronics assemblies per requirements and procedures.
• Handle and process electronic assemblies using ESD controls to prevent FOD.
• Set up, operate, and maintain specialized vibration and thermal test equipment per work instructions and calibration standards.
• Accurately record, monitor, and review test data and logs for traceability and compliance.
• Support production and QA by ensuring testing procedures are followed and results documented.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to improve processes and maintain quality.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, operation sheets, specs, and process docs.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Manufacturing Technician II

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct vibration and thermal environmental tests on hardware and electronics assemblies in accordance with program requirements and/or written test procedures.
• Properly handle and process electronic assemblies using established ESD control practices and procedures to prevent foreign object debris/damage (FOD).
• Set up, operate, and maintain specialized vibration and thermal test equipment, following detailed work instructions and calibration standards.
• Accurately record, monitor, and review test data and logs to ensure traceability and compliance.
• Support production and quality assurance processes by ensuring all testing procedures are executed correctly and results are thoroughly documented.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to improve processes, resolve issues, and maintain high quality standards.
• Interpret and work from complex wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications, and process documentation.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus 2-4 years of relevant technical experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical systems and components.
• Understanding of torque requirements, tool usage, and calibration/verification practices.
• Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles and tools.
• U.S. Citizenship required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
