Job summary

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of physical or natural sciences terminology and methods.
• Ability to collect, evaluate, analyze and interpret scientific data.
• Experience with water quality concepts and environmental monitoring is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine monitoring programs and collect water and tissue samples.
• Perform computer modeling of water quality parameters in shallow inshore areas.
• Prepare technical reports with charts and analyses for review.
• Conduct shoreline surveys to assess pollution sources.
• Maintain district office, field instruments, boats, and vehicles.
• Attend meetings and review water quality and shellfish documents.
