Job summary

ADM’s Cedar Rapids operations seeks an Environmental Specialist to support the Environmental Management System and compliance programs across a busy industrial site. You will work with plant management, operations, and engineering teams to drive environmental performance and regulatory adherence.

The role requires data collection for reporting, expertise in air/waste/water regulations, and the ability to lead environmental projects and training.

Qualifications

BS degree preferred in Environmental, Engineering, or related field.
2–4 years of environmental compliance experience.
Experience in an industrial plant environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with EMS implementation and sustainment, including incident investigation and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with plant management to develop strategies for environmental issues and sustainability goals.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and company requirements.
Collect and verify data for environmental reporting and recordkeeping.
Assist in Title V and PSD air permitting activities.
Lead environmental projects such as pollution prevention and compliance testing.
