ADM Cedar Rapids Corn Complex is seeking an Environmental Specialist to support the Environmental Manager in maintaining EMS and ensuring regulatory compliance for the site. You will work in both office and plant environments, coordinating with operations, engineering, and environmental teams to drive risk reduction and sustainable practices.

The role requires 2–4 years in environmental compliance, strong regulatory knowledge, and leadership ability.

Formación

• BS degree in Environmental, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
• 2-4 years’ experience in an environmental compliance role.
• Previous industrial plant experience.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations with emphasis on air, waste, water/storm water/wastewater management, and hazardous material handling/storage.
• EMS development and implementation experience preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to influence at all levels.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Relocation assistance is available.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with the implementation and sustainment of the EMS program, including policy development, incident investigations, and risk reduction.
• Collaborate with plant management, operations, engineering, and environmental groups to develop strategies for environmental issues.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and company requirements.
• Collect/verify data for environmental reporting and recordkeeping.
• Assist in permitting activities such as Title V and PSD air permitting.
• Prepare environmental reports (Title V, Emissions Inventory, TRI, Tier II, CEMS, GHG, NSPS/NESHAP).
• Interact with environmental consultants and regulatory agencies as needed.
• Lead environmental projects such as pollution prevention and testing.
• Provide required environmental training to plant personnel and contractors.
