Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician at its Superior facility. The role maintains a clean, safe environment in patient/resident areas, following infection control and safety guidelines. The position handles waste, floor care, and general cleaning tasks, with opportunities for advancement and education support.

A full benefits package is provided for full-time staff. Shift is 8 hours on day shift with 40 hours per week; every other weekend and holiday rotation may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment and chemicals is helpful.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas following infection control and safety guidelines.
• Empty waste baskets, sweep, scrub, wax or polish floors and use appropriate cleaning equipment.
• Wear protective equipment as required and keep storage and carts clean and well stocked.
• Assist in laundry areas as appropriate and use technology applications when available.
• Be prepared for variable hours, including nights, weekends and holidays based on location needs.
