Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient areas and common spaces. Evening shift, 20 hours per week, with potential weekend work.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, hallways and public spaces following infection control guidelines and using cleaning equipment. Minimum six months of housekeeping experience preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to use computer and prior cleaning experience is helpful.
• Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods and cleaning chemicals is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Empty waste baskets in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas.
• Sweep and scrub floors; wax and polish floors as needed.
• Use brooms, mops and powered scrubbing machines.
• Clean patient/resident rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms and common areas.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines; wear protective equipment.
• Assist in laundry areas and use technology applications when appropriate.
