Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a part-time Environmental Services worker to perform general cleaning across patient rooms, offices, and hallways. Starting rate is $18.00/hr with pay for experience; schedule includes 7:00am–3:30pm, every other weekend and holidays.

Duties include cleaning, disinfecting, and waste disposal, with patient care unit support as needed. Experience less than 1 year is acceptable; English literacy is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, understand and speak English at a level that enables the individual to perform the functions of the job satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain offices, hallways, and other assigned areas.
• Cleans and disinfects all fixtures, floors, mirrors, windows, doors, and walls of bathrooms.
• Dusts furniture, woodwork, equipment and dust mops floors. Polishes and cleans fixtures in utility rooms and bathrooms.
• Wet mops rooms, halls, stairways and public areas.
• Gathers and disposes of trash and waste materials.
• Remains attentive to call lights on patient care units and supports cleaning of patient rooms as needed.
