Job summary

WellSpan Health in York, PA is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to perform a variety of general cleaning tasks in patient rooms, offices, hallways and other areas of the hospital, ensuring a safe, sanitary environment.

You will disinfect fixtures, dust surfaces, collect trash, and assist with patient-care unit cleaning when assigned, following isolation and safety procedures; 40 hours per week, Sunday–Saturday 3:00 pm–11:30 pm, every other weekend and holiday.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, understand and speak English to perform the job.
• Less than 1 year of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs general cleaning tasks to maintain offices and hallways.
• Disinfects fixtures, floors, mirrors, windows, doors, and walls in bathrooms.
• Dusts furniture and polishes fixtures; cleans high areas with a ladder.
• Gathers and disposes of trash and waste materials.
• Assists in hanging drapes and dividers for cleaning.
