The successful candidate will perform comprehensive cleaning, waste removal, equipment upkeep, and adherence to infection control guidelines while supporting a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Preferred: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred: One year experience.
• Can prioritise assignments to complete work in a timely manner.
• Can operate equipment.
• Can establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas including dusting, washing, sweeping, vacuuming and restrooms.
• Re-stocks restrooms and replaces light bulbs; reports repairs.
• Removes waste including linen, trash, sharps and hazardous waste; recycles material.
• Keeps equipment clean and reports failures to maintenance staff.
• Maintains safe work environment by following procedures and infection control guidelines.
• Attends required training and safety updates to maintain knowledge.
• Meets time schedules and deadlines consistently.
