Job summary

Waggoner Engineering, Inc. seeks an Environmental Services Market Sector Leader to grow the firm across environmental services, aligning business units, developing talent, and expanding the client base while delivering high-quality projects.

The role emphasizes leadership through influence in a matrix organization, pursuing major client opportunities, and elevating the sector brand with a focus on compliance, remediation, sustainability, and resilience for public and private clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• PE/PG or other relevant environmental credential preferred; equivalent consulting leadership experience.
• Typically, 15+ years of progressive water experience, including 7+ years of client leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year market strategy and annual plan.
• Lead or oversee major pursuits, capture plans, and client messaging.
• Coordinate with Business Unit Leaders and Area Managers to forecast workload and resources.
• Promote consistent project delivery standards, QA/QC, and risk management.
• Coach and develop staff across business units; build high-performing teams.
• Own sector performance: revenue, backlog, win rate, profitability and client satisfaction.
