Position Summary

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers a comprehensive, approximately sixteen-week, interactive training experience, including:

• General Training & Comprehension - Learn and perform duties of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker, including operating industrial cleaning equipment.
• Leadership Development - Assist in training, quality control, and staff in-servicing.
• Policies & Procedures - Ensure standards, inventory, safety, and customer service are maintained according to policies and regulations.
• Reporting - Maintain records of income, expenses, supplies, and personnel.
• Training - Responsible for staff training, quality control, and documentation.
• Leadership - Handle managerial tasks such as payroll, staffing, coaching, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.

• Communication - Effectively convey directives from management to staff.

• Safety - Use PPE, follow safety and infection control protocols, and report issues promptly.

• Punctuality - Maintain consistent attendance and respond promptly to communication.

• Customer Experience - Represent HCSG courteously and professionally.

• Experience - Demonstrate positive interactions with staff and guests.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, perform routine tasks.
• Leadership skills post-training, capable of working independently.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills, ability to maintain records and reports.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds; stand, sit, bend, walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
• Reside in the service area.
