Environmental Services - Manager in Training

Compensation Range

$17-21 per hour

Position Overview

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers a comprehensive, interactive experience lasting approximately 16 weeks. It includes hands-on and computer-based training covering:

  1. General Training & Comprehension: Learn to operate and teach various industrial cleaning equipment, performing roles such as housekeeper, heavy housekeeper, and laundry worker.
  2. Leadership Development: Assist in training, quality control, and staff in-servicing according to policies and federal/state requirements.
  3. Policies & Procedures: Provide leadership to meet quality standards, safety guidelines, inventory, and customer service expectations.
  4. Reporting: Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
  5. Training & Quality Control: Oversee staff training and quality assessments using QCIs.
  6. Leadership Skills: Handle managerial responsibilities including payroll, staffing, coaching, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.
  7. Communication: Effectively convey directives from clients and management to staff.
  8. Safety & Infection Control: Use PPE, handle cleaning solutions safely, and follow safety protocols.
  9. Punctuality & Customer Service: Maintain consistent attendance and provide courteous interactions with residents, staff, and guests.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude with ability to follow instructions and perform routine tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Must reside in the service area and be compliant with COVID-19 vaccination policies where applicable.
