Position Summary
Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers you the opportunity to learn and grow within an established company with over 45 years of experience. The program lasts approximately sixteen (16) weeks and combines hands-on and computer-based training, focusing on various management aspects, including:
- General Training & Comprehension: Learn and perform duties of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker; operate and teach others to operate industrial cleaning equipment.
- Leadership Development: Assist in training, quality control, and staff in-servicing according to policies and procedures and federal/state requirements.
- Policies & Procedures: Provide leadership, support, and guidance to ensure quality standards, inventory, safety, and customer service expectations are met, adhering to applicable standards and policies.
- Reporting: Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment, and prepare reports for management.
- Training: Responsible for staff training, quality control, and in-servicing to meet HCSG standards, including touring facility areas and assessing work quality.
- Leadership: Handle managerial responsibilities such as payroll, staffing, coaching, discipline, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.
- Communication: Effectively communicate directives from managers, occupants, and administrators to staff.
- Safety: Use protective gear, follow safety protocols, report equipment needs or malfunctions, and ensure a sanitary environment following infection control policies.
- Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and timely completion of tasks.
- Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively by following instructions, being courteous, and cooperating with staff and clients.
- Experience: Interact positively and tactfully with staff and guests.
Qualifications
- Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, and perform routine tasks daily.
- Ability to utilize leadership skills independently after training without injury.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
- Work around food and cleaning products.
- Reside in the service area.
