Position Summary

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers a 16-week interactive learning experience, combining hands-on and computer-based training, covering various aspects of management including:

  • General Training & Comprehension: Operating and teaching industrial cleaning equipment, performing roles of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker.
  • Leadership Development: Training in staff support, quality control, and compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Policies & Procedures: Ensuring quality standards, safety, inventory, and customer service are met.
  • Reporting: Maintaining records on income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
  • Training & Quality Control: Responsible for staff training, quality assurance, and documentation.
  • Leadership: Managing payroll, staffing, coaching, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.
  • Communication: Effectively relay directives from management to staff.
  • Safety: Use PPE, follow safety protocols, and report issues promptly.
  • Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and respond promptly to communications.
  • Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively through courteous and cooperative interactions.
  • Experience: Engage in positive, tactful interactions with staff and guests.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, and perform routine tasks.
  • Leadership skills post-training to operate independently without injury.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work with food and cleaning products.
  • Residence within the service area.
