Position Summary

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow within our established company. Over approximately sixteen weeks, you'll undergo a tailored training program covering:

  • General Training & Comprehension: Learn and perform duties of various housekeeping and laundry roles, including operating industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Leadership Development: Assist in training, quality control, and staff in-servicing according to policies and federal/state requirements.
  • Policies & Procedures: Learn to support quality standards, safety, inventory, and customer service, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Reporting: Maintain records related to income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
  • Training & Quality Control: Responsible for staff training, quality assurance, and facility inspections.
  • Leadership Skills: Handle managerial responsibilities including payroll, staffing, coaching, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.
  • Communication: Effectively relay directives from management to staff.
  • Safety & Infection Control: Use PPE, handle cleaning solutions safely, report malfunctions, and follow infection control protocols.
  • Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and respond promptly to communications.
  • Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively through courteous and cooperative interactions.
  • Experience: Engage in positive interactions with staff and guests.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, and perform routine tasks.
  • Leadership skills post-training, with the ability to work independently and safely.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks.
  • Residency in the service area.
