Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate Environmental Services staff (housekeeping, floor care, and laundry).
• Ensure daily assignments, projects, and quality standards across all shifts.
• Conduct daily QCIs, address deficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain staffing levels and communicate directives among management, staff, residents, and admins.
• Manage inventory, supplies, equipment, records, and department expenses for cost-efficiency.
• Ensure proper maintenance and safe use of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Train staff on housekeeping, floor care, laundry, infection control, safety, and equipment operation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, infection control standards, and safety requirements.
• Serve as liaison between Environmental Services, residents, families, staff, and other departments.
• Step in to perform housekeeping, floor care, and laundry duties when needed.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and uphold a professional environment.

Environmental Services Manager (Housekeeping Manager)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Services Manager (Housekeeping Manager) to lead and supervise our Environmental Services team at Nexus of Belleville. This role is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment while maintaining high standards of quality, customer service, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate Environmental Services staff, including housekeeping, floor care, and laundry personnel.

• Ensure daily assignments, projects, and quality standards are completed accurately and on time across all shifts.

• Conduct daily Quality Control Inspections (QCIs), address deficiencies, and follow through on corrective actions.

• Maintain appropriate staffing levels and effectively communicate directives between management, staff, residents, and building administrators.

• Manage inventory, supplies, equipment, personnel records, and department expenses to support a cost-effective operation.

• Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained, safely used, and readily available.

• Train and cross-train employees on housekeeping, floor care, laundry procedures, infection control, safety practices, and proper equipment operation.

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state regulations, infection control standards, universal precautions, and safety requirements.

• Serve as a professional liaison between Environmental Services, residents, families, staff, administrators, and other departments.

• Step in to perform housekeeping, floor care, and laundry duties when needed.

• Maintain resident confidentiality and uphold a professional, respectful environment.
