Job summary

Nexus of Belleville is seeking an Environmental Services Manager to lead and supervise a housekeeping team, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while upholding high standards of quality and regulatory compliance.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and excellent customer service, with experience in healthcare or senior living settings preferred. The position involves coordinating across departments and assisting with staff training and safety programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping, environmental services, healthcare, senior living, or related setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate Environmental Services staff (housekeeping, floor care, and laundry).
• Ensure daily assignments, projects, and quality standards across all shifts.
• Conduct daily QCIs, address deficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain staffing levels and communicate directives among management, staff, residents, and admins.
• Manage inventory, supplies, equipment, records, and department expenses for cost-efficiency.
• Ensure proper maintenance and safe use of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Train staff on housekeeping, floor care, laundry, infection control, safety, and equipment operation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, infection control standards, and safety requirements.
• Serve as liaison between Environmental Services, residents, families, staff, and other departments.
• Step in to perform housekeeping, floor care, and laundry duties when needed.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and uphold a professional environment.
