Job summary

TouchPoint is seeking an Assistant Director I to assist the Director of Environmental Services in directing and overseeing the housekeeping department's operations. You will coordinate tasks among Operations Managers, liaise between administration and departments, and ensure the highest level of service across facilities.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and progressive experience in healthcare housekeeping are preferred; strong leadership, communication, and budgeting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work history required.
• Working knowledge of housekeeping procedures preferred.
• Demonstrated progressive growth in healthcare housekeeping facility maintenance.
• Strong work ethic, initiative for quality and customer service.
• Excellent written and oral communication, listening and empathy, problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage staff and budgets under stress.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and reviews standards and work procedures for all Housekeeping staff.
• Plans work schedules, hours, areas of work, and job duties to ensure adequate housekeeping services.
• Interviews, hires, evaluates, and terminates housekeeping personnel.
• Orients, trains, develops and supervises all Housekeeping staff.
• Performs regular inspections and evaluates the facility; recommends action items.
• Conducts regular staff meetings and coordinates with other departments.
• Schedules major project work and ensures adequate staffing and supplies.
• Performs inventory of housekeeping supplies.
• Assists Department Director with budgets.
