Job summary

TouchPoint, Support Services, a Compass Group USA division, seeks an Assistant Director of Environmental Services to help lead daily hospital housekeeping operations for a 500+ bed facility. You will coordinate schedules, supervise staff, and ensure cleanliness, safety, and patient satisfaction across the unit.

The role reports to the Director of Environmental Services and involves collaboration with hospital administration and cross-department leaders to meet organizational goals and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and leadership experience.
• Healthcare environmental services, housekeeping, or facility operations experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and career progression in healthcare support services or hospitality.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with associates, patients, clients, and leadership.
• Financial acumen with budgeting, resource planning, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Environmental Services in managing day-to-day housekeeping operations.
• Establish, implement, and monitor standards, policies, and procedures for compliance and quality.
• Coordinate staffing plans and daily assignments for facility-wide housekeeping coverage.
• Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and evaluate housekeeping staff.
• Supervise over 20 associates and 2 operations managers to drive engagement and excellence.
• Conduct inspections and audits, identify improvements, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead major cleaning projects with adequate staffing, equipment, and supplies.
• Monitor inventory, support budget development and expense management.
• Foster safety, service quality, and continuous improvement across the department.
