Monarch Communities is seeking an Environmental Services Director to lead maintenance, housekeeping, and life-safety programs at our Howell Township community. This exempt salary role reports to the Executive Director with support from the Regional Director of Facilities.

You will develop policies, manage budgets, supervise staff, and ensure building systems, safety, and inspections meet regulatory standards while coordinating with Wellness, Marketing, and Food Service teams.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in maintenance, facilities management, or a related field.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance and housekeeping practices and procedures, as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing maintenance functions in the community.
• Working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
• Hands-on experience with general maintenance, carpentry, and repair work.
• Ability to safely operate power and handheld tools and maintenance equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Facility Management software systems.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Aufgaben

• Direct the Environmental Services, Maintenance, and Housekeeping departments and their programs.
• Plan, develop, organize, evaluate, implement, direct, and supervise all related services and activities.
• Develop and maintain departmental written policies and procedures.
• Coordinate services with Wellness, Marketing, Food Service, Sales and other internal departments.
• Review and monitor community expenditures monthly to ensure budget compliance.
• Assist in recruitment, retention, selection, and evaluation of department personnel.
• Develop department schedules, work hours, and cleaning schedules.
• Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations and community policies.
• Maintain logs, inspections, and requirements per regulations (e.g., fire safety, inspections).
• Maintain and operate departmental systems software (Yardi, DSSI, TELS, etc.).
• Manage vendor contracts for departmental systems and operations (fire safety, HVAC, elevators, etc.).
• Perform hands-on maintenance and oversee emergencies and repairs as needed.
