Job summary

Sunlight Batteries USA INC in Mebane, NC is seeking an Environmental Services Associate to maintain a clean, safe facility on a contractor basis. The role supports daily operations by keeping production areas, offices, restrooms, and common spaces compliant with cleanliness and safety standards.

This temporary-to-hire position involves rotating shifts and performing routine cleaning tasks. Onboarding will be managed through a third-party staffing agency, with potential for direct employment

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, custodial, environmental services, or facilities preferred.

• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform frequent bending, standing, walking, and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all facility areas, including production floors, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, hallways, conference rooms, and common areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, breakroom, and cafeteria areas, including tables, countertops, sinks, appliances, and floors.
• Restock and monitor supplies, including soap, paper towels, toilet tissue, hand sanitizer, and other facility essentials.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles throughout the facility and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and perform routine floor care to maintain a safe and presentable environment.
• Clean windows, doors, walls, and other surfaces as needed.
• Report maintenance, safety, or sanitation concerns to management promptly.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist with special cleaning projects and facility support tasks as assigned.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning products and notify management when supplies need replenishment.

Your Impact

The Environmental Services Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment throughout the facility. This role supports daily operations by ensuring production areas, offices, restrooms, breakrooms, and common spaces meet company cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards.

Note: This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity supporting Sunlight's operations. Candidates selected for this position will be required to register and complete the onboarding process with a designated third-party staffing agency. Employees will be paid through the staffing agency while performing their assigned duties at Sunlight's facility. Based on business needs, job performance, and attendance, associates may be considered for direct employment with Sunlight at a later date.

Work Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing environment and requires regular movement throughout the facility, including production areas, offices, restrooms, and employee common areas. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required as needed.

Work Schedule

This position offers a flexible work schedule designed to accommodate Sunlight's core business hours and manufacturing operations. Scheduled hours will be determined based on facility needs and may vary to support production, sanitation, and facility maintenance requirements.

Typical schedules may include 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday; however, alternate start and end times may be considered based on business needs and candidate availability. Occasional overtime, early morning, evening, or weekend hours may be required to support operational demands.
