UPMC St. Margaret's Medical Arts Building is seeking an Environmental Services Associate to help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming spaces for patients, visitors, and staff.

You will perform routine cleaning, disinfect high-touch surfaces, manage waste, restock supplies, and support infection prevention standards. Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms and public areas, following established procedures, reporting equipment issues, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Prior cleaning experience or background in environmental services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make beds and clean patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
• Clean patient rooms, public areas, toilets, offices and equipment following procedures.

• Maintain and report issues with equipment and supplies to supervisor.
• Follow safety, sanitation rules and use proper hand hygiene.

As an Environmental Services Associate, you'll be responsible for maintaining patient care and public areas through routine cleaning, disinfecting surfaces, waste removal, and supporting infection prevention standards. Responsibilities:

• Make beds, following established cleaning procedures in all patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
• Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair, report problems to the supervisor.
• Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations of assigned areas to assure adequate supply.
• Clean all assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices and equipment, following established procedures.
• Maintain assigned equipment in clean, working condition, reporting problems and suggestions to the supervisor.
• Remove trash from all assigned areas.
• Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.
