Job summary

UPMC Passavant is seeking a Full-Time Environmental Services Associate at our McCandless location just north of downtown Pittsburgh. You will clean and maintain patient rooms and public areas, restock supplies, and ensure sanitation standards are met.

Work involves preparing rooms for new patients, operating cleaning equipment safely, and following infection control guidelines. Weekend/holiday rotation is required; Act 34 clearance is expected.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain patient rooms, public areas and equipment following established procedures.
• Prepare rooms for new patients (including bed-making and discharge cleaning).
• Restock supplies to ensure areas are fully equipped.
• Remove trash and maintain sanitation standards.
• Inspect assigned areas for quality and report maintenance needs.
• Safely operate and maintain cleaning equipment.
• Assist with moving furniture and completing special cleaning tasks as needed.
• Follow safety, infection control and organizational guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

UPMC Passavant, an ANCC Magnet-designated facility, is seeking a Full-Time Environmental Services Associate to join our team at our McCandless location.

This role requires availability for rotating weekends and holidays.

Conveniently located just north of downtown Pittsburgh off McKnight Blvd, our campus is only minutes from Ross Park Mall.

What You'll Do:

• Clean and maintain patient rooms, public areas and equipment following established procedures
• Prepare rooms for new patients (including bed-making and discharge cleaning)
• Restock supplies such as paper products and soap to ensure areas are fully equipped
• Remove trash and maintain overall cleanliness and sanitation standards
• Inspect assigned areas to ensure quality and report any maintenance or repair needs
• Safely operate and maintain cleaning equipment
• Assist with moving furniture/equipment and completing special cleaning tasks as needed
• Follow all safety, infection control and organizational guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Comfort with using cleaning equipment and performing physical tasks
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
• Ability to work in a healthcare environment where medications may be present (no handling required)
