Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a part-time evening facilities associate to maintain safety and cleanliness at our hospital campus. You will work Monday to Friday, 7 PM to 11 PM, onsite at 55 Fruit Street, with a 20-hour weekly schedule.

Responsibilities include floor care, dusting, restroom sanitation, waste handling, event setup, and reporting maintenance needs. Prior hospital cleaning experience preferred; High School diploma required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience with hospital cleaning equipment.
• Ability to maintain a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors.
• Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment.
• Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, doors, windows, and fixtures.
• Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms; replenish supplies.
• Picks up debris around the building.
• Operate high- and low-speed stripping/buffing machines.
• Set up tables, chairs, and equipment for events.
• Identify and report maintenance needs.

Essential Functions

• Sweeps, mops, waxes, strips, and polishes floors; vacuums and shampoos carpets.
• Dusts and polishes furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment.
• Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, windows, sills, blinds, and door glass.
• Empties, cleans, and sanitizes waste receptacles in assigned areas.
• Cleans and sanitizes restroom facilities and fixtures, including sinks, urinals, toilets, mirrors, walls, and drinking fountains; replenishes restroom supplies as needed.
• Picks up debris around the building.
• Operates and controls high- and low-speed stripping/buffing machines.
• Sets up tables, chairs, and equipment for special events and normal hospital activities.
• Identifies and reports building maintenance needs in assigned buildings and facilities.

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Licenses and Credentials

Experience working with the cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers 2-3 years required.
