Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Service Worker I to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming hospital environment.

You will perform cleaning, floor care, and waste management across patient areas, corridors, and public spaces, supporting infection control and patient safety. This role requires attention to detail, ability to operate cleaning equipment safely, and reliable attendance.

Competenze

• 1-2 years of cleaning or environmental service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and products.
• Understanding of infection control and safety standards.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment effectively and safely.
• Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift or move objects as needed.

Mansioni

• Clean and sanitize assigned areas, including rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and other spaces, following infection control standards.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, furniture, and equipment.
• Maintain hard and carpeted surfaces, including stripping, refinishing, and treating floors and upholstery as per procedures.
• Wash walls, ceilings, windows, and other surfaces to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
• Restock supplies and monitor inventory to ensure continuous availability.
• Handle trash and biohazardous materials safely, including disposal per safety protocols.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, reporting any malfunctions or repair needs.
• Assist with minor repairs or maintenance tasks and report larger facility issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain regular attendance.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
