Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Service Worker I to keep patient areas, corridors and common spaces clean, safe and welcoming. You will follow infection control procedures while performing cleaning, floor care and waste management in assigned areas.

The role requires attention to detail, reliable attendance and the ability to operate cleaning equipment safely. Collaboration with healthcare staff and adherence to HIPAA protocols is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and products.
• Understanding of infection control and safety standards.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment effectively and safely.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with staff, patients and visitors.

Responsabilités

• Cleans and sanitizes rooms, halls, lobbies, restrooms and other spaces per standards.
• Maintains floors and surfaces by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting.
• Washes walls, windows and other surfaces to ensure hygiene.
• Restocks supplies and reports shortages to ensure continuity.
• Handles waste and biohazard materials per safety rules and HIPAA protocols.
• Operates and maintains cleaning equipment and reports malfunctions.
• Assists with minor repairs and notifies larger facility issues.
• Performs other duties and maintains regular attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
