Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain all floor surfaces, walls, and upholstered furniture while performing essential environmental services duties across our hospital environment. The role supports patient care areas and related facilities with attention to cleanliness and safety.

The ideal candidate has basic experience following instructions, a willingness to perform manual tasks, and strong customer service skills.

The Floor Technician is responsible for the maintenance of all types of floor surfaces, wall, and upholstered furniture. This position also may require other environmental services duties.

Position Details:

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: Prior work experience following written and verbal instructions. Previous experience with performing manual tasks. Prior experience working with the public; customer service.

Preferred Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Certification: Gloss Tek.
Experience: Prior hospital environmental service experience.

License: Valid current driver's license; obtain a chauffeur's license within 90 days of employment

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat.
