Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Advanced Environmental Services Technician to help keep the hospital clean, safe, and infection-controlled. You will support patient care by maintaining hygienic and sterile conditions in patient areas and support spaces.

Responsibilities include following established procedures, handling routine cleaning tasks, and providing courteous service to staff and visitors in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Prior hospital environmental service experience. Prior work experience following written and verbal instructions. Previous experience with performing manual tasks. Prior experience working with the public; customer service.

Position Details

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat.
