Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to perform cleaning and sanitation tasks across our healthcare facility, supporting infection control standards and a healthy healing environment for patients.

Qualified applicants have a High School diploma or equivalent and prior hospital EVS experience, with ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for long shifts, and follow written and verbal instructions.

The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the healthcare facility to ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulatory requirements. This position plays a critical role in promoting a healthy and hygienic environment conducive to patient healing and well-being.

Position Details:

Preferred Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Prior Hospital Environmental service experience. Prior work experience following written and verbal instructions. Previous experience with performing manual tasks. Prior experience working with the public; customer service.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
