Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Environmental Scientist to lead impactful work across the Gulf region, providing permitting strategy, environmental assessment, and license support for municipal, state, and federal approvals.

The role can be located in or near any Stantec Texas office with travel up to 75%. You will contribute to wetland delineations, species surveys, NEPA assessments, and complex permitting for energy, transportation, and development projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in environmental science or related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience leading delineations and environmental projects in Gulf Region.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Support projects and key client relationships across energy: pipelines, LNG, solar, and other facilities.
• Lead teams that collect and report on tasks such as wetland delineations and endangered species surveys.
• Assist with work plans, assemble project teams, delegate tasks, and ensure timely completion.
• Establish quality assurance and safety plans for assigned projects.
• Provide mentorship to early career staff and potential direct supervision.
