Job summary

SET Environmental, Inc in Minnesota is seeking an Environmental Scientist to support fieldwork and project teams on environmental investigations, remediation, sampling, data analysis, and reports. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Senior Managers, and subcontractors to deliver on schedule and budget.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in an environmental field, at least 3 years of consulting experience, strong writing skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental field required.
• Minimum 3 years of related environmental consulting experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience including sample collection, data management, data analysis, and report preparation.
• Excellent writing skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, coworkers, vendors, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental project work including investigation, remediation, and sample collection.
• Assist project managers and senior managers with planning permitting, investigation, and remediation tasks.
• Support completion of Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
• Coordinate timely, on-budget task delivery and oversight of subcontractors.
• Perform fieldwork such as soil, groundwater, surface water, and vapor intrusion sampling.
• Prepare environmental permits, technical reports, work plans, and memorandums.
• Perform office work including data compilation, cost estimates, schedule and budget management.
• Maintain detailed field logs and soil boring logs.
• Adhere to QA/QC procedures and health & safety policies.
