Job summary

SET Environmental, Inc in Minnesota is seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist to support multi-project environmental work, including investigation, remediation, sampling, data analysis, and reporting. You will assist PMs and senior managers with permitting, Phase I & II ESAs, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental field.
• 10+ years of environmental consulting experience.
• 10+ years of experience in sample collection, data management, data analysis, and report preparation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain professionalism with stakeholders on a project.
• Ability to collaborate with supervisors, coworkers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Able to participate in the Company's drug and alcohol programs.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental project work across multiple projects with Project Managers and Senior Managers.
• Assist Project Managers with planning environmental permitting, investigation and remediation tasks.
• Support completion of Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
• Coordinate tasks to on-schedule and on-budget.
• Coordinate and oversee the work of subcontractors.
• Perform fieldwork including soil, groundwater, surface water, and vapor intrusion sampling.
• Assist with writing permits, technical reports, work plans, letters, and memorandums.
• Perform office work including data compilation, cost estimates, and schedule/budget management.
• Prepare detailed logs for test holes and monitoring wells.
• Describe soils and complete soil boring logs accurately.
• Adhere to QA/QC procedures and on-site safety policies.
