Job summary

Alfred Benesch & Company is seeking an entry-level Environmental Scientist to support natural resources projects, including wetlands, threatened species, and water resource permitting. You will assist project managers with organization, analysis, and reporting in an office or remote setting with some fieldwork.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Biology or Environmental Sciences and 1–4 years of relevant experience, with strong writing and QA/QC skills, plus willingness to travel for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or Environmental Sciences with 1-4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in wetland delineation and surveys for threatened/endangered species.
• Familiarity with state and federal environmental permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fieldwork tasks such as wetlands delineations and environmental surveys.
• Provide technical support for permit compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Be prepared for frequent travel, including overnight stays within/outside the state.
