Job summary

West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection in Fayetteville, WV is seeking an Environmental Resources Specialist 2 to monitor AML reclamation projects, collect data, and document findings. The role reports to the Supervisor in the AML Construction group and involves advanced level work in designated counties.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of environmental resources experience, with strong data collection, analysis, and written communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of full-time or equivalent paid professional experience in environmental resource protection or related area.
• Promotional Only: One year of Environmental Resources Specialist 1 experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and conduct field investigations of AML reclamation projects by contractors.
• Collect and review technical data related to environmental resources and assist in preparing detailed findings.
• Take photographs of reclamation sites.
• Perform other related duties as required.
