Job summary
The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Land Restoration, Abandoned Mine Lands Program, Construction, is seeking an Environmental Resources Specialist 2 to support field investigations and AML reclamation projects in the Fayetteville regional office.
You will collect and review technical environmental data, take site photographs, analyze findings, prepare detailed reports, and communicate results to a broad range of stakeholders while complying with applicable laws
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Two years of professional environmental resources experience.
- Graduate coursework may be substituted for the required experience.
- Promotional Only: One year of Environmental Resources Specialist 1 experience may substitute for the required training and experience.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and conduct field investigations of AML reclamation projects.
- Collect, review and analyze data related to environmental resources.
- Take photographs of reclamation sites.
- Perform other related duties as required.
