Job summary

The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection seeks an Environmental Resources Specialist 2 to support the Office of Abandoned Mine Lands in the Fayetteville regional office. The role involves field investigations of AML reclamation projects, data collection, and reporting.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree and two years of related environmental experience, with strong ability to prepare detailed reports and communicate with contractors and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent experience in environmental/natural resources or related field.
• Experience with data collection, analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and conduct field investigations of AML reclamation projects.
• Collect and review technical data related to environmental quality.
• Take photographs of reclamation sites and assist in findings.
• Perform related duties as required.
