Job summary

CIRES at the University of Colorado Boulder is seeking a research engineer to support NOAA GML's Technology Transitions, Engineering, and Applications division. The role will help advance HORUS, TraceAIR, NGAS-LA, and shipborne pCO measurement programs from concept to deployment.

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in environmental or electrical engineering, be able to perform lab work in a U.S. government facility, travel about 10% of the year, and have Python experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering or another engineering degree.
• Ability to conduct in-person laboratory work in a U.S. government facility (which requires successful completion of a federal background check).
• Ability to travel and conduct fieldwork 10% of time per year on average.
• Experience with the Python programming language.
