Job summary

Stantec is seeking an environmental project manager in Farmington Hills, MI to lead complex environmental consulting projects focused on site characterization, remediation, and brownfield revitalization. Responsibilities include soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion work, with emphasis on data interpretation and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, problem solving, and communication skills, along with 20 years of remediation experience and a PMP/PE/PG license is

Qualifications

• Strong technical aptitude with solid grant/writing ability.
• Excellent organizational, communications, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to travel regionally and locally as required (up to 30%).
• Background check and drug screen may be required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform remedial activities at facilities focusing on soil, groundwater, and air.
• Manage due diligence, Phase I ESAs, and other environmental projects.
• Conduct intrusive site investigations and Phase II ESAs.
• Collect, interpret data, and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Prepare technical reports and health & safety plans.
• Design and optimize remediation systems and strategies.
• Maintain client and regulator relationships and respond quickly to issues.
• Coordinate projects with clients, regulators, and internal staff.
• Mentor engineers or scientists and supervise field teams.
• Travel to sites for oversight of field crews and meetings.
