Job summary

Jacobs in Portland, OR is seeking an Environmental Remediation Intern to support field and office teams on critical projects. You’ll assist with soil, groundwater, and sediment sampling, data analysis, and draft work plans and reports.

Fieldwork up to 50% with potential travel to project sites. You must be enrolled in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related field, with 2+ years of coursework, and able to commute daily to the Portland office.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a degree program in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related field.
• Completion of at least 2 years of collegiate coursework.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to perform field work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.
• United States Citizenship.
• State Driver's License required.
• Ability to commute daily to the Portland, OR office.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers, scientists, geologists and engineers on environmental remediation projects.
• Conduct field activities including soil, groundwater and sediment sampling.
• Analyze field and laboratory data sets and contribute to technical work plans and reports.
• Support field activities up to 50% of time with potential out-of-town travel.
