Jacobs Solutions Inc. is seeking an Environmental Remediation Intern based in Portland, OR, to support field teams on soil, groundwater, and sediment sampling. You will analyze data, help develop work plans, and contribute to reports while gaining exposure to world-class environmental projects.

Estimated time spent in the field can reach up to 50%, with potential for travel. This summer internship offers hands-on experience within a collaborative, hybrid work environment and ongoing mentorship.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program for Geology, Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, or closely related field.
• Completion of at least 2 years of collegiate coursework.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to perform field work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.
• State Driver's License required.
• Ability to commute daily to the Portland, OR office.

Based in Portland, OR, you'll assist a team of project managers, scientists, geologists, and engineers in delivering environmental services on time and within budget for world class projects. You’ll work with a knowledgeable and supportive group of professional staff to execute field activities such as soil, groundwater, and sediment sampling; conduct data analysis on field and laboratory data sets; contribute to technical work plans and reports; and more. Estimated time spent doing fieldwork is up to 50%, with the potential for out-of-town travel.

Here's what you'll need

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• 3.0 GPA
• previous internship experience performing field work
• 40-hour hazardous waste operations and emergency response (HAZWOPER) certification or ability to obtain upon hire

The base salary range for this position is $47,300.00 to $60,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
