Job summary

Global Edge Group is seeking an Environmental/Regulatory Advisor to act as the single point of contact for environmental and regulatory matters across the project lifecycle in New Mexico. You will coordinate ESHIA/EMP development, manage permits, and ensure integration of environmental standards into EPC designs and schedules.

In this role you will support the SHE Manager, interact with consultants and project teams, and oversee regulatory compliance activities, aiming to keep projects in line

Qualifications

  • University degree in Natural or Environmental Sciences, Natural Resource Management, Social Sciences, Engineering or related technical field.
  • Experience in an environmental/regulatory role, preferably on construction or extractive projects.
  • Knowledge of external project financing desirable.
  • Knowledge of country regulations desirable.
  • Excellent English speaking and writing skills required.
  • Familiarity with in-country language(s) desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal, supervisory and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee preparation of ESHIA and EMP documents with consultants and Project Team.
  • Coordinate regulatory compliance plans and ensure timely permits/licenses/approvals.
  • Support SHE Manager in implementing E&R practices and lessons learned.
  • Interface with design/execution teams to embed environmental/health requirements in plans.
  • Provide input for cost and schedule estimates related to regulatory approvals and E&R deliverables.
  • Develop and monitor EMP/E&R performance with EPC contractors and site teams.
  • Prepare internal reports and external submissions to satisfy lenders and government requirements.
