Job summary

Edge Engineering and Science is seeking a Senior Environmental Permitting Project Manager to lead permitting and regulatory compliance for major energy infrastructure nationwide. You will guide environmental permitting strategies, coordinate with agencies, and manage multidisciplinary teams from feasibility through permitting and compliance.

The role requires deep experience with federal/state environmental regulations, FERC processes, and strong client management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Ecology, Natural Resources, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of environmental permitting and regulatory consulting experience.
• Experience supporting energy infrastructure development projects.
• Experience preparing federal and state environmental permit applications.
• Strong understanding of Clean Water Act 404/401, Rivers and Harbors Act 10, NEPA, and permitting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental permitting and regulatory compliance for energy infrastructure projects across the U.S.
• Prepare environmental documentation for FERC applications and authorizations.
• Develop permitting strategies and regulatory roadmaps aligned with project schedules.
• Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies throughout planning and permitting.
• Manage project teams, budgets, schedules, and client communications.
• Mentor junior staff and support EDGE's Energy Permitting Practice growth.
