Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Quality Assurance Chemist to support our Environmental Engineering, Consulting & Remediation (ECR) Practice from the Lowell, MA headquarters. The role focuses on data validation, data usability assessments, and QA/QC across laboratory analyses.

You will review chemistry reports, maintain records, and assist in project plans, reporting, and coordination with analytical labs, working in a collaborative team to meet schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemistry or related science.
• Experience validating data per EPA National Functional Guidelines.
• Experience evaluating environmental field data and QC principles.
• Experience with GC/MS data for dioxin/furans or PFAS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform data validation or usability assessments for laboratory analyses.
• Review lab reports for errors and technical accuracy.
• Maintain records of all laboratory analyses and tests.
• Analyze environmental data and prepare reports.
• Assist in QA project plans and sampling analysis plans.
• Assist in QC reviews of data tables and figures for project reporting.
• Coordinate with analytical laboratories with field staff and project managers.
• Work in a team setting and meet schedules and budgets.
