TRC Companies in Boston, MA invites an experienced Environmental Quality Assurance Chemist to support our Environmental Engineering, Consulting & Remediation practice from our Lowell, MA headquarters.

You will validate data, review laboratory reports for accuracy and regulatory compliance, and help prepare QA plans and project documentation to ensure high-quality environmental analyses on schedule.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemistry or related science required.
• Experience validating data according to EPA National Functional Guidelines.
• Experience evaluating environmental field data and QC principles for environmental sampling.
• Experience in reviewing data from GC/MS for dioxin/furans or PCB congeners or PFAS by EPA methods is preferred.
• Detail-oriented, able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to convey technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform data validation or data usability assessments for various laboratory methods under state and federal programs.
• Review laboratory reports for technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain records and documentation of all laboratory analyses and tests.
• Analyze environmental data and prepare reports.
• Assist in developing QA plans and sampling analysis plans.
• Support data quality reviews of tables and figures for project reporting.
• Assist field staff and project managers with coordination with analytical labs.
• Work in a team and complete tasks within set schedules and budgets.
