Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related science field.
• 1-2 years of field sampling experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with Sampling Analysis Plans, Quality Assurance Project Plans, or similar project control documents is a plus.
• Familiarity with environmental investigations and remediation is a plus.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to focus on individual tasks while collaborating with peers.
• This position can be physically demanding and may require work in various environments; capable of lifting up to 45 pounds and some travel (20-30%).

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections, oversights, sampling, and related activities per regulatory standards as directed.
• Assist in developing project control documents, writing technical reports, performing data interpretation, reviewing permits, and developing graphical presentations.
• Review Chain-of-Custody records, field data, and laboratory receipts for accuracy; track deliverables.
• Develop and strengthen technical capabilities.
• Be proficient in field sampling, inspections, data collection, QA/QC, data reporting, synthesis and analysis.
• Become knowledgeable of regulatory standards in the area of technical background.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with clients and contractors.
• Track project hours and manage tasks within allotted timeframes.
• Communicate with Project Manager when issues may affect schedule and budget.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow safety rules incl. OSHA regulations.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs and support team efforts.
• Keep up-to-date on industry trends through training and publications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
