Job summary

Onterris, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Technician in Tampa, FL to lead field activities, operate monitoring equipment, and collect samples for environmental assessments.

You will document results, prepare daily reports, and ensure proper sample handling while coordinating with project managers and clients on-site. Travel to various sites may be required and OSHA safety practices are enforced.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Geology, Environmental Science or related field.
• 1+ years of experience in environmental collection, monitoring, sampling, testing and basic evaluation.
• Valid Class C driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability/willingness to travel and lift 50 pounds.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to manage electronic documents.

Responsibilities

• Serves as Team Lead and provides training and direction to other staff.
• Operates field monitoring equipment (PID/FID, pH, EC, DO, GEM, turbidity, etc).
• Collects samples and prepares field daily reports and data sheets.
• Ensures proper sample labeling, handling and Chain-of-Custody procedures.
