Job summary

GEI Consultants, Inc. seeks an On-call Laboratory Quality Assurance Chemist to assist with Laboratory Data Review, reporting to the Wakefield, MA office. The role allows either in-person or remote work and supports the Data Management Team.

Responsibilities include data validation per EPA and state guidelines, working with diverse analyses, and contributing to QAPP development while coordinating with virtual teams nationwide.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills are required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or 10 years laboratory/validation experience.
• Willing to work overtime as required.
• Ability to work with a virtual data management team across the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Data Validation using EPA Regions 1, 2, 4, 9 and Connecticut DQA, MA CAM, NJ DKQ and National Functional Guidelines.
• Understand analyses including VOCs, SVOCs, pesticides, PCBs, herbicides, dioxins/furans, GS/MS/SIM, metals, cyanide and various wet chemistry analyses.
• Assist in developing QAPP for various projects as needed.
• Serve as a laboratory liaison for analytical methodology and data usability in reporting.
